Dr Mohamed Elnahrawy

Dr Mohamed Elnahrawy has recently joined our clinic as an established ophthalmologist with nearly 20 years of experience.

His specialties include:

• Diabetic and Macular Degeneration Screening and Treatment

• Cross-Linking

Dr Elnahrawy is currently a glaucoma consultant at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. Before arriving to Australia, Dr Elnahrawy practiced ophthalmology in Alexandria, Egypt, where he attained his masters degree in ocular trauma, and his PhD in refractive laser procedures.

In Australia he undertook two prestigious fellowships, one in Cataract and the other in Glaucoma at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in 2019 and 2020. Dr Elnahrawy has been a lecturer of Ophthalmology for over 10 years at Alexandria University. During this time, he taught undergraduate and post-graduate students studying Ophthalmology. Dr Elnahrawy has been an author on a number of articles. His last research papers focused on the outcome of glaucoma surgeries.
